Lemon Drink are a four-piece from Glasgow, serving up infectious hooks, killer choruses and powerhouse vocals. Their music is loud, sassy, and laced with sharp lyrical insight - an intoxicating blend of bold indie-rock grit and alt-pop accessibility that’s energetic and unmistakable. With a sound that’s modern yet nostalgic, their songs are a nod to ‘90s and early 2000s indie, reimagined through a fresh and rebellious lens.

Formed in 2018 after bonding over a love of angry girl anthems, sweaty basement gigs and amaretto sours, Lemon Drink hit the scene tenaciously, quickly earning a reputation for their raw, scrappy and vivacious live shows. Tipped early as ones to watch, they’ve shared stages with the likes of Carla J. Easton, Cloth, Lazy Day, Our Girl and Poster Paints, as well as headlining Glasgow’s iconic King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut among other esteemed venues.

Fronted by pocket rocket vocalist Sophie Bartholomew - equal parts ferocious and fragile - Lemon Drink balance grit and vulnerability with ease. Guitarist Kirstie “KC” Cunningham brings the bite, delivering riot-grrrl-meets-dream-pop riffs with deadpan confidence, while Lauren Peters’ fuzzy, prog-tinged bass ripples beneath soaring haze-filled guitar from Paul Bradley. All underpinned with instinctive and punchy drums, full of restless energy.

Their debut EP Better Run earned spins on BBC Radio Scotland, Amazing Radio, RAPAL(track of the week) and was championed by numerous local and international indie stations. Follow-up single Demon Child showcased a leap forward in the band’s sonic evolution, earning playlist support -including a spot on Spotify’s Scotify- and widening their audience.

Next for Lemon Drink new single Patsy Kensit; a shimmering, dream-distortion anthem, dripping in nostalgia (think Suck It And See era Arctic Monkeys). It’s a clear progression in the band’s sound, marked by more mature instrumentation whilst retaining their signature rawness and tongue-in-cheek charm audiences have fallen for. And with a follow up EP written and ready to record, Lemon Drink are ready to level up.
